Heather Thomson
Piano & Theory Teacher
Although born in Sarnia, Ontario Heather has lived for the past three decades in the Atlantic provinces. She graduated from Mount Allison University with a Bachelor of Music Degree, cum laude. While primarily a piano teacher, she also teaches music theory and history and is a trained Kindermusik educator. She has been a professional accompanist, a church organist, a choral director, a festival adjudicator and a handbell director. A member of the Canadian Registered Music Teachers' Association, she has written articles and hosted a variety of teacher and student workshops throughout the Maritimes. She has most recently published a book of learning games as a companion to the Celebrate Piano Beginner Method.
A private teacher for over twenty-five years, Heather brings a wealth of teaching experience to her role as piano instructor at Klaudia's Music Studio. She believes that solid communication between student, teacher and parents is the secret to musical success.
Heather looks forward to teaching theory and piano lessons to students of all ages.
