Ian Morrison
Celtic Fiddle Teacher
Ian has played violin with the Oakville Symphony Orchestra for the past 13 years and is also a member of the Oakville Celtic Fiddle Club, where he relives the fondness he had for Scottish music in his youth. He is also a member of the String Ensemble Orchestra comprised of students of Klaudia's Music Studio. Previously, he played with the Dundas Valley Orchestra and with the Masterworks Orchestra of Oakville.
His other musical interest is choral singing, being a member of Maple Grove United Church choir, and a founding member of Oakville Masterworks Chorus.
Ian currently takes lessons from Klaudia at the Grade 7 6 level, and specializes in teaching Celtic fiddling. His approach to teaching is friendly, adapts to individual needs and motivates students toward achieving their personal best. He is very enthusiastic about violin playing and will encourage young, as well as 'young at heart'!
