The studio cooperates with selected teachers in offering piano, violin, guitar, cello, double bass and music theory lessons. Teachers of Klaudia’s studio, trained in music education, are skillful at adapting their teaching approach to suit the individual student’s learning style. Children and adults alike follow their personal goal of achievement. Bi-annual recitals are the highlight of the studio offerings. Register early for February 2008 and September 2008, spaces are limited.

It is essential that quality tutoring begin with proper posture. This aspect is so crucial, for playing on any instrument regardless of the method employed. Great results are directly linked to a proper line-up/instrument holding/positioning. Teachers of other music schools may not emphasize this technical aspect of learning enough and this often leads to deeper problems later, resulting in a stagnation of musical development. Unfortunately correction in posture is not always successful when caught late in the teaching cycle.

Reading music is an essential part of the study right from the beginning. KMS introduces note reading even to very young. The concept is easily grasped and gives students confidence to be independent in playing. While other teaching methods, such as Suzuki, emphases lies in learn-by-ear and play-back melody, this only covers one aspect of learning. Additionally, while constant fingering reminders might look like a good idea in the beginning, this can eventually prevent students from learning the music through the process of reading music notes.

Note: Many students have been re-directed to KMS after years of Suzuki, asking for help with reading music. Correction at this stage is a difficult task and takes much time and effort. Conversely, our approach is to integrate the reading of notes with the discovery of the melody.

Musicality is one of the most important aspects of learning music, as there is much more to it than just playing the notes. There is a countless range of dynamics, expressions, moods, periods, styles, techniques, and so on. Music cannot be imposed, cannot be forced on to - it needs to come from one's heart. All too often we see "automated playing", where the only important aspect is the speed. Musicality is often neglected as non important in the beginning stages, which is a great mistake.
